CFOY seeks to build bridges between First Nations community and surrounding community. They are a community-based committee that is run by volunteers, including First Nations members and individuals from local law enforcement. CFOY advocates for youth against many issues, including: Drug dealing, Substance abuse, Violence, Sexual abuse, Suicide.

Police

The West Vancouver Police has joined CFOY in all the Annual Sex Abuse Rallies to date as well as the anti-drug march. They have also supported movements such as the torching of a drug den on the Squamish reserve.

In 2005, the West Vancouver Police Department Mobile Police Station was strategically placed in many locations throughout the Squamish reserve in an effort to discourage drug dealers from conducting their illegal business as well as provide reassurance of safety and security to the Squamish Nation.
